and Request for Public Comment on PHA Annual Plan and Five Year Agency Plan for the Shelbyville Housing Authority
The Shelbyville Housing Authority (SHA) in compliance with Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998, has developed an Annual Plan and Five Year Agency Plan for the period beginning October 1, 2008. The Plan describes the housing needs of lower income renter households, resources SHA expects to have available to address those needs, and significant policies for the operation and management of the Public Housing programs; it also describes the proposed use of Capital Fund (modernization) funding SHA expects to receive during the year.
A copy of the Plan together with all the supporting documentation is available for review at SHA's principal office at 316 Templeton Street, Shelbyville,TN.
A public hearing on the Plan will be conducted by SHA's Board of Commissioners at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Richard's Cafeteria, 223 Lane Parkway, Shelbyville, TN. All written comments received prior to the public hearing as well as all comments presented at the public hearing will be considered before SHA finalizes the Plan and submits it to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
