BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders' (12-6, 4-1 CUSA) 33-game CUSA winning streak came to an end in a 63-58 loss to the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers (12-5, 3-2 CUSA) at the E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, Ky.
The Blue Raiders took a 34-25 lead into the locker room at the halftime break. Anastasiia Boldyreva led Middle Tennessee by collecting her sixth double-double of the year by halftime with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Junior guard Ta'Mia Scott led the Blue Raiders in scoring with 12 first-half points to with three rebounds and an assist.
Following a Savannah Davis three-pointer that cut the Hilltopper lead to one with just over a minute left, Western Kentucky scored the final four points of the game to avoid the Blue Raider comeback.
Senior Anastasiia Boldyreva finished the game with 17 points and a season-high 16 rebounds. The post player also contributed five blocks on the defensive end of the floor. Ta'mia Scott led all scorers in the game with a season-high 25 points and played the entire 40 minutes of the game. Scott also nailed a season-high nine free throws to contribute for a total of 15 total makes at the charity stripe for the Blue Raiders.
Freshman Savannah Davis had a good game off the bench, scoring six points including a big three-pointer to bring the Blue Raiders back to within a point with 1:11 left in the game. Davis also grabbed three rebounds.

15: The lead in the rebounding margin for MTSU, who won the rebounding battle 47-32.

"They made some shots and made some plays, and we didn't. We had some timely turnovers as well. We missed our free throws. We didn't take care of the basketball and we didn't make shots down the stretch."
