LAWRENCE, Kan.- Middle Tennessee football (2-3, 0-1 CUSA) fell 55-0 in its final non-conference bout of the season against the Kansas Jayhawks (2-2).

The Blue Raider defense got off to a solid start, as the Jayhawks led 3-0 at the first quarter break. The Kansas offense was able to get things moving more in the second quarter, putting up 17 points to push the deficit to 20-0.

Middle Tennessee struggled to contain the running game on defense, as Kansas tallied 480 yards on the ground with two individual 100-yard rushers for the home team.

On the flip side, MTSU was unable to replicate the success on the ground that Kansas found. Antonio Martin Jr. led the way for the Blue Raiders offensively with 40 yards on the ground.

Freshman Ziyon Butler had two catches on the day for 44-yards, while Middle Tennessee's leading receiver Cam'ron Lacy hauled in two passes. Overall, Roman Gagliano was nine-of-26 through the air.
