BELL BUCKLE, Tenn. – The Cascade Champions (1-1) jumped out to an early 8-0 lead, but eventually succumbed to the tenacious and unrelenting pressure from Eagleville (2-0) in a 74-42 loss on Friday night.
Cooper McElroy led Cascade in scoring with 12 points while Kaleb Kelso added 10 points of his own.
For Eagleville, Camden Cole put in a game-high 23 points, James Bega added 15 points, and Adrien Sivieri chipped in with 10 points of his own on the night.
After going down 8-0 early, the Eagles responded by closing the first quarter on an 18-2 run to take an 18-10 lead after the opening period. Eagleville extended its lead in the second quarter, outscoring Cascade 20-13 to take a 38-23 lead going into the halftime locker room.
In the third quarter, Cascade really struggled to find the basket, scoring just five points as Eagleville ballooned its lead to 57-28 heading into the final frame.
Eagleville improves to 2-0.
Cascade falls to 0-1 and returns to the court on December 2nd against Moore County.
