Former Webb Athlete Joel Wyatt Commits to Vols

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Former Webb Feet football star, Joel Wyatt, announced his commitment to the University of Tennessee on Monday. 

The No. 2 prospect in the state of Tennessee according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings recently transferred to Oakland High following the cancellation of The Webb School’s football program. A season ago, Wyatt helped lead the Feet to a 6-5 record – the program’s first-ever winning season – along with its second-ever playoff appearance. 

The 4-star athlete was a two-way star for the Feet, leading the team in receiving a year ago with 44 receptions for 890 yards and 10 TDs. Defensively, Wyatt was second on the team in total tackles with 31, and was tied for the team-lead with 3 TFLs. 

The 6 '4, 195lb Wyatt is currently ranked as the No. 5 athlete in the country heading into his senior season at Oakland High, and is ranked No. 48 overall nationally according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. 

With his commitment, the Vols now move into the Top 15 nationally with the No. 12 recruiting class for the 2026 cycle. Wyatt is the third-highest ranked recruit committed behind a pair of 5-stars in QB Faizon Brandon from North Carolina and OT Gabriel Osenda from Baylor School in Chattanooga.
