SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The Shelbyville Central Golden Eaglettes (10-3-1, 3-0-1) used a hat trick from Jayda Frazier to run away from Giles County (6-7-3, 2-3-1), 5-0, on Monday to close out the regular season.

As next week’s top seed in the District 9-AAA Tournament, the Eaglettes were on the front foot from the opening kickoff. Even so, it took until the 27th minute for Shelbyville to open the scoring after freshman Dara Frazier whipped an in-swinging cross in from the left flank to the back post, finding the onrushing foot of sophomore Jada Frazier for the marvelous tap-in goal to take a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Dara Frazier again found Jada Frazier twice more with the first coming in the 48th minute. This time, Frazier’s cross came in from the right wing, but once again the elder Frazier found the ball first to double Shelbyville’s lead to 2-0.

Four minutes later in the 52nd minute, Dara Frazier’s third assist completed Jada Frazier’s hat trick in a similar fashion to the first two. Another cross into the box allowed the Eaglette forward to re-direct the ball into the back of the net to grow the lead to 3-0.

Nine minutes later, in the 61st minute, the younger Frazier got on the scoresheet to go in front 4-0.

Shelbyville would add a fifth goal from senior defender Mary Grace Marshall after she converted a penalty in the final minutes to reach the final margin of 5-0.

The Eaglettes now wait to host the District 9-AAA Tournament beginning Tuesday, October 14th.
