CULLEOKA, Tenn. – The Cascade Lady Champions (13-2-1, 8-0-0) returned to their winning ways at the perfect time in the Region 5-A Semifinal at Culleoka (9-5-1, 6-1-1) in a 6-0 win on Tuesday.

Kaylee Martin, Olivia Winnett, and Lexi Comstock all tallied a brace in the dominant performance over the District 10-A Champions and punched Cascade’s ticket to the Region 5-A title game. After falling to Chapel Hill in the District 9-A Championship in unexpected fashion by conceding three goals, the Lady Champs posted a clean sheet against the Lady Warriors, keeping star eighth grader Emerson Massey – who led the hosts with 19 goals on the season coming in – off the scoresheet.

Martin opened the scoring on Cascade’s first attack of the night to take a 1-0 lead within the opening minutes, setting the tone for the Lady Champs immediately before she assisted on Winnett’s first goal minutes later to double Cascade’s lead.

The visitors kept their foot on the gas, eventually finding their third goal of the night on Martin’s sixth goal of the season. The sophomore winger, who came into Tuesday’s match with four goals to her name so far this season, netted half of her total on the year in just the first half against the Lady Warriors.

After taking a momentary rest, Comstock returned to the pitch and immediately put her stamp on the game by scoring a pair of goals in rapid succession. Kyla Pulley provided her second assist of the season on Comstock’s first goal, and then Brinlee Collett dished out her third assist in 2025 for Comstock’s 28th goal of the campaign to complete her brace and give Cascade a commanding 5-0 lead heading into the halftime break.

Shortly after the start of the second half, Winnett completed her brace with her 16th goal of the year to reach the final margin of 6-0.

Cascade advances to the Region 5-A Championship on Thursday night at Chapel Hill with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m.
