Patriots claim pair of wins

LYNCHBURG — A balanced scoring effort on Tuesday night was just what the Liberty Patriots needed to secure their second win of the week, beating Moore County in Lynchburg 40-24.

Jack Conditt led eight Patriots in scoring with his game-high 10 points.

Liberty led 13-7 after the first quarter and stretched its lead to 24-10 by halftime.

Not much changed in the second half as Liberty tacked on an 11-point effort in the third to help secure the victory.

As a team, the Patriots connected on four treys, two of which came courtesy of Conditt.

Liberty will be back on the road on Monday with another road trip scheduled for Fayetteville.

**Liberty 42, Flintville 22

FLINTVILLE — After a sluggish start on Monday at Flintville, the Liberty Patriots responded with a strong second half and held host Flintville to just one shot from the floor in the second half and recorded a 42-22 victory.

The first quarter as a complete struggle for the Patriots, who managed just two points, which came from Jason Cullum.

After trailing 13-2, Liberty flipped the script and out-scored the hosts 13-5 in the second quarter and cut the Flintville lead to three points by the half.

That momentum continued into the second half as the Patriots went on to outscore Flintville 27-4 in the final two quarters to notch the first win of the week.

Braxton Landers and Cullum led the way with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
