The Artist’s Hoard will officially open its doors this weekend, supplying the Shelbyville area with a new, cozy, colorful corner.
It’s a bright spot located at 846 Union Street-next door to Piggly Wiggly market off Highway 41A North.
Shelbyville natives and residents, Heather and David Fry, are hoping to make the new store this area’s go-to spot for high-quality art supplies, unique stationery and gifts. Workshops will also be held.
“We are a small store specializing in fine art supplies, stationery and unique gifts run by me and my husband, David. We want to provide a place for local artists to not only be able to purchase high-quality supplies but really have a community hub where they can go to connect with other artists.”
Heather said they’re planning a space for artists to display their work as well as two classroom spaces where artists can teach their mediums.
