UNIONVILLE, Tenn. – The Community Vikings (10-5) connected on 15 three-pointers in a 88-41 win over the Huntland Hornets (4-10) on Friday night.

Masyn Hill scored a team-high 20 points with four made three-pointers, Andrew Tocchio finished with 16 points on four triples, Boone Gray scored 13 points all in the fourth quarter on a trio of threes, and Charlie Haskins finished with 12 points on the night.

Huntland’s Grant Jernigan scored a team-high 12 points but he was the only Hornet to reach double-figures.

Community returned from the Richland Christmas Classic on a heater, taking a 28-9 lead at the end of the opening period. Haskins and Tocchio each scored eight points while Hill added six more points in the frame.

In the second quarter, the Hornets steadied the ship by tying the hosts, 13-13, in the period, but the Vikings took a 19-point lead, 41-22, into the halftime locker room after hitting eight threes.

Coming out for the second half, Community kept up their three-point barrage, connecting on four more in the third quarter en route to an incredible 30-point period, taking a 71-35 lead into the final frame.

Despite the result all but in the bag, the Vikings maintained their intensity, outscoring Huntland, 17-6, in the fourth quarter to reach the final margin of victory, 88-41.

The Vikings improve to 10-5 overall. The Vikings hit the road on Tuesday night to conclude non-district play, traveling to Moore County with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
