CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. – The 18-hole TSSAA District 11-A Golf Tournament took place on Monday, and despite neither team from Cascade and Community qualifying for the region tournament, both schools did see individual qualifiers after yesterday’s results.

CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. – The 18-hole TSSAA District 11-A Golf Tournament took place on Monday, and despite neither team from Cascade and Community qualifying for the region tournament, both schools did see individual qualifiers after yesterday’s results.
For the Viqueens’, Savannah Pearson and Madisyn Hill both secured a spot in next week’s Girls’ Region 6-A Tournament after shooting a 106 and 109, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Champs’ Eli Collard shot an 85 to ensure that his golf campaign continues for at least one more week, finishing as the fourth Region 6-A Tournament qualifier on the Boys’ side.
In the team competition on the Boys’ side, Chapel Hill took home first place with a score of 326, Eagleville finished in second place with a 330, and Richland took home third after shooting a 340. Cascade finished in fourth place overall out of the ten schools competing after shooting a 367.
On the Girls’ side, Community finished in fifth place out of the seven teams competing with a score of 215, settling in above Richland by just a single stroke. The Lady Champs finished in seventh place with a 316 after senior Keagan Young was unable to participate.
Eagleville finished in first place with a dominant score of 158, Chapel Hill came in second place with a 194, and Cornersville took home third place with a 204.
The Region 6-A Tournament begins next Tuesday, September 30th, back at Henry Horton Golf Course in Chapel Hill.
