EAGLEVILLE, Tenn. – The Community Viqueens (3-2) won their third-consecutive game, 48-42, at Eagleville (1-5) on Monday night.

Anna Haskins led the way for Community, scoring a team-high 13 points. Brooklyn Yoes and Alyssa White each added nine points while Mattie Maxey chipped in with seven points.

For Eagleville, Bayli Sutter scored a game-high 14 points while hitting a trio of three-pointers. She was the only Lady Eagle to finish in double-figures, although MC Whitt contributed with nine points of her own.

Early on, it was all Viqueens as the visitors raced out to a 19-9 lead at the end of the opening period. White scored seven points in the first quarter to lead all scorers while Yoes and Haskins both found the range from downtown with one hit apiece.

In the second quarter, Eagleville exploded for 21 points, trimming the visitors’ lead to just one point, 31-30, heading into the halftime locker room. Yoes connected on two more three-pointers in the period to lead Community, but it was barely enough to hold off the surge from Sutter, Alex Bolden, and Whitt. In all, Eagleville nailed four triples in the period to spark the run.

Coming out of the locker room for the third quarter, Community settled down defensively, holding the hosts to just five points as the Viqueens took a slim lead, 39-35, heading into the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, Community managed to hold the Lady Eagles to just seven points, outscoring Eagleville, 9-7, to grow the winning streak to three games. Maxey scored all seven of her points in the fourth quarter, finishing 5/7 from the charity stripe to ice the game away.

Community improves to 3-2 and will host Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m.
