Walmart Deepens Commitment to Tennessee, Fueling Long-Term Impact and Future Statewide Investments

Posted

Walmart is continuing to reinvest across Tennessee, with plans to remodel eight stores statewide in 2026, including in Shelbyville.

Over the past five years, Walmart has invested more than $807.7 million to upgrade stores throughout Tennessee. In addition to store upgrades, Walmart has made efforts toward investing in Tennessee communities with $44.4 million in donations to local nonprofits.

These reinvestments introduce renovated stores that offer a faster, more convenient shopping experience. Upgrades include refreshed layouts, enhanced technology and expanded services that help customers shop how they want, whether in-store, online or through Walmart’s speedy same‑day delivery.
