It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty J. Marbury who passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the age of 94.
Betty was born on November 13, 1931, in Lewisburg, Tn. She lived a life defined by love, kindness and devotion to her family and friends. She touched the lives of many through her compassion, generosity and unwavering strength.
Betty was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, Shelbyville. She found joy in walking every day, bowling and working jigsaw puzzles. Whether she was with family, enjoying favorite pastime or helping others, Betty made every moment meaningful. Her warmth, laughter and caring spirit will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Above all, Betty cherished family. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Libby and her husband Don. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy Marbury, mother, Louise Allen and stepfather, Raymond Allen and her brother, Loxie Doud.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the memories we shared and lasting impact Betty had on those around her. Her legacy of love, kindness and faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 4th, at Willow Mount Cemetery. "Let everything that have breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord" Psalm 150:6. Forever loved, deeply missed and never forgotten.
