Jewell Katherine Phelps, 89, of Shelbyville, died December 2, 2025, at Lynchburg Nursing Center. She was a native of Bedford County, retired employee of Eureka Corporation and a member of Emanuel Church Pentecostal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy D. Powell and Mary Katherine Warren Powell; her husband, Noel Lee Phelps; grandson, Christopher Rollins Phelps; brothers, William Powell and Phillip Powell; sisters, Wanda Fanning and Carolyn Armstrong.
Jewell is survived by her children, Darlene (Eric) Grisham of Lebanon, TN., Michael Phelps of Bell Buckle, Patrick (Beverly) Phelps of Shelbyville, Kevin (Francine) Phelps of Tullahoma; sisters, Viola Powell Sons, Bonnie (Harold) Davis, brothers, Harvey Powell, Steve (Flo) Powell; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 6th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Revs. Ronnie Adams, Tommy Stiltner and Chris Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. prior to service.
Hillcrest Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
