Ruth Ann Landers, 85, of Lynchburg, Tn., died July 20, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 23rd, at Hillcrest Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M.
She was born December 8, 1940, in Hazel Green, Alabama, to her parents, the late Johnny and Ethel Mears Preston. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Landers; a grandson, Justin Groce; a brother, Ralph Preston; and sisters, Martha Lawson and Margaret Amos.
Ruth is survived by her children, Vicki Lynn Davenport (Clyde) of Tullahoma, Larry Alan Landers (Missy) of Shelbyville, Diana Robin Smith of Lynchburg; sister, Thelma Overcast of Shelbyville; brother, James Preston of Huntsville, Ala.; 8 grandchildren, Christine Davenport, Carissa (Derek) Chapin, Corey Davenport, Matthew (Samantha) Groce, Jessica (Jeremiah) Griffin, Zack (Meagan) Smith, Logan (Morgan) Landers, Mason (Elizabeth) Landers; 9 great-grandchildren, Trent Walker, Anayah Grant, Brooklyn Groce, Caseon Casteel, Rhett Griffin, Beau Griffin, Kylie Solis, Kenzie Solis, Avah Smith and a great-great-grandchild, Kieran Walker.
