Shane Michael McAnally, 59, of Shelbyville, died July 17, 2026.
"A Gathering of Friends" will be held Friday, July 24th, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
He was born October 18, 1966, in Blue Island, Illinois, to his parents the late Percy Leroy McAnally and Wilma Louise Riddle McAnally.
Shane is survived by his daughters, Nicole Marie Cagle (Brian), Jennifer Lauren Claxton (Tyler), Rebecca Lynn Allen (Joseph) of Shelbyville and Kassi Leann Boyce of Tullahoma; his sisters, Sharon Zadkovich, Marsha Fortt of Illinois, Cheryl Farris (Ricky) of Arizona; his brother, Greg McAnally (Jane) of Tullahoma and his eighteen beloved grandchildren.
Shane lived life on his own terms, worked hard, loved deeply, and found happiness in the simple things. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, searching for hidden treasures at yard sales and working as a tree cutter, a profession he dedicated most of his life to. He never met a stranger, loved sharing stories, making people laugh and spending time with the people he cared about. If you knew Shane, you knew how much he enjoyed a good fishing trip and a cold one. His laughter, stories and one-of-a-king personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
