Helen Marie Ledbetter 80 of Shelbyville died May 30, 2026.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3rd, at
Hillcrest Funeral Home, Pastor Micah Hayes officiating. Burial
will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at
11:00 A.M.
She was born May 24, 1946 in Woodbury, TN. She began
working as a seamstress with Model Sportswear, later working for
Stahl-Urban and Chalk Line and then working and retiring from
Calsonic. She was a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother. She loved to fish
with her husband and was known by family and friends as the "Best Cook" for her cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Ferrell and Carlie Watson Ferrell; her brothers, L.D. Ferrell, Lloyd Ferrell, Willie Ferrell; sisters, Elsie Dean Ferrell, Jennie Hartley, Catherine Pirtle, Mary Nell Lynn, Annette Green; and great-grandson, Layton Hart.
Helen is survived by her husband, Gerald David Ledbetter, her children, Kimberly Bohanan (Jeff) of Shelbyville, David Ledbetter (Genny) of
Versailles, KY.; grandchildren, Kyra Ledbetter, Amber Hayes (Micah),
Kelsey Hart (Corey); great-grandchildren, Charlotte Hayes, Elijah Hart,
Benjamin Hayes, Calvin Hayes, Beau Hart and Channing Hart.
The family would like to thank Carriage House for making Helen feel
at home and taking good care of her.
