Velma Margie Johnson Anderson passed June 4, 2026.
She was affectionally called Margie and was born August 5th , 1949, to the late Alford and Audrey Johnson, in Shelbyville, TN. She came from a large family, one of sixteen. She attended Harris High School. As a young child growing up, she attended Bright Temple Church of God In Christ. She retired from Empire Pencil Co. after 42 years of service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Anderson; three brothers, Alfred, Harold, and George Johnson; 6 sisters, Margaret Johnson, Cora Stewart, Annette Johnson, Charlotte Johnson, Alberta Johnson, and Wanda Johnson. She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Karen Jeanette Anderson; granddaughter, Amber Marie Anderson; 2 great grandchildren, Adien and Hazel Anderson; 2 brothers James and Jerry Johnson, 4 sisters, Louise Bonner, Lucille Worthy, Janie Johnson and Sherry Johnson; 2 sisters-in-law, Lynda Johnson and Martha Anderson; numerous nephews and nieces.
